Fire Inspection Reporter is used by fire protection companies to record inspections of the extinguishers they service. This page says what the service stores and where it goes.
What is stored
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number if you add it, your role, and the company you belong to.
- Your company's records: customers, buildings, extinguishers, inspections, checklist answers, notes, photographs, and who completed and approved each visit.
- Drafting history: when a note is drafted with AI, the draft and anything removed from it are kept as part of the inspection's audit trail.
Who can see it
Records belong to the company that created them. People in your company see them according to their role. People in other companies cannot, and the database enforces that, so it does not depend on the screens alone. Photographs are kept in private storage and shown through links that expire.
Services we use
- Supabase hosts the database, sign-in and photo storage, in the United States.
- Vercel hosts the application.
- Anthropic receives the text of a unit's recorded findings when an inspector asks for a draft note, and returns the draft. Nothing is sent unless someone presses the draft button.
- Your browser's speech recognition handles dictation. Some browsers, including Chrome, send the audio to their maker's servers to transcribe it. This service never receives audio.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use your records to train AI models.
Keeping and deleting data
Records are kept while your company's account is open, because inspection history is the point of the service. An approved inspection cannot be edited. The account owner can ask for the company's account and data to be deleted.
